What Are Kakadu Plums?

A Kakadu Plum (terminalia ferdinandiana) is a small fruit native to the northern, western and central regions of Australia. The plum is a small, green fruit similar looking to an olive. These plums have been an integral part of nourishment and medicinal source for the long living Aboriginal people for thousands of years.

Recent studies have proven that this next "SUPERFRUIT" has many health benefits. The ratio of 3000mg of vitamin c per 100g of fruit qualifies this plum as having the highest level of natural vitamin C of any fruit or plant known on earth! The plum also contains phytochemicals such as gallic and ellagic acids. Gallic acid has antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal activities, while ellagic acids are proven to have anticarginogenic effects!
